Note: This is my very first comic on Comics for Christ (originally posted on Instagram on October 24, 2019).
Like everyone else, I also cringe at my old art (man those handwritten letters are just HIDEOUS). But I will post most of my old comics on here, one by one.
For most of my old uploads, I will simply put down the Instagram description I wrote back then. Do keep in mind that I have grown spiritually over the years, so the commentary is probably really naïve. Regardless, I hope you find encouragement.
Original commentary (October 24, 2019):
"This was inspired by a sermon I heard recently.
In Luke 15:8-10 we read of the parable of the woman and her lost coin. The coin represented us and the woman represented God seeking us.
Now, coins have three characteristics:
1. the coin being lost does not change the value of the coin
2. the coin being dirty does not change the value of the coin
3. a lost coin is an object of intense search. We too have the characteristics of a coin to God.
God wants us to be saved and seeks after us regardless of how lost we are and how dirty we are (what we have done). And I assure you, he really wants us to return to him.
2 Peter 3:9 tells us that God desires us to come to repentance, and he does not want us to perish (to be lost forever). So if you are a lost coin today, God is looking for you! Reach out to him and be assured that he will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5) if you trust in him!"
