A couple of things: Yes, I can see the potential irony here, I risk misrepresenting Christians with this comic. Of course, I don't mean ALL Christians do this. There are so many that do this very very well. You will have to trust my observations here, and maybe your own observation will testify to this as well. If not, then I challenge you to seek out the best arguments from a view you disagree with and see how much stronger it is than you have previously thought.
Secondly, I can see a few unhelpful rabbit trails that this comic may start, so let me address them now. First of all, I used several real-life examples of Christians caricaturing/misrepresenting other views. I used evolution, Calvinism, and the veneration of Mary. If you see this and start arguing against those things in the comments, or begin to lecture me about it, you have missed the point of the comic. Let me state the point clearly here:
Truthfulness matters. Bearing false witness is a sin. Judgment before self-examination and clarity is immoral. We cannot throw these principles away when we are combating other competing worldviews. Too many people, Christians included, are far too gullible. They take in whatever evidence and arguments that fit their worldview, which they have already picked beforehand, and just block out anything that goes against it. This is just modern human nature, we want everything to affirm whatever we feel is best for ourselves. Many Christians I talk to do this. When I express some difficult questions or doubts, immediately they begin pointing me to Christian apologists. That is not a bad thing, what makes it bad is that they themselves have never even watched those people before, and nor have they even seriously considered my doubts and questions. And in the pulpit, I see so much caricaturing of other faiths. For what reason? Is it to please a shallow-thinking audience? Or maybe they really just, haven't taken the time to do their research? It's frustrating, really. Can Christianity really not stand up to its contenders? If not, then why are some Christians only brave enough to interact with strawmen?
I understand that evidence usually doesn't cause someone to give their life to Christ. And you generally cannot reason someone to faith. There is an element of the work of the Spirit at play that is beyond this physical realm. Okay, fair enough, maybe that is good enough for you, and maybe you have had that transcendent experience that is just undeniable. But YOU are the only one who can be convinced by that! Well, maybe others who see your changed life. But just because apologetics or evidence don't matter all that much to you, they do matter a lot to others who are not as fortunate as you, who have never and will probably never experience something like that! If our goal is to reach out to everyone with the gospel, then we cannot project our own standards onto everyone else. If we want our message to be taken seriously, then the quality of the things we present to others must be respectable.
In our day, attacks against Christianity and arguments for other views are growing, robust, and strong. We ignore them to our own detriment. Too many are leaving churches because churches just cannot compete in the public square of ideas. Church leaders and members present themselves as fools who do not care about reason, intellect, or truthfulness. They ramble on in the pulpit things that are far from reality, they misrepresent people of other views because they are so comfortable in their Christian echo chamber. If we want to be taken seriously as a worldview, then we must do better. If you want to talk about another view, go to their own sources, and seek out their best arguments. If you want to critique another view, understand it as best as you can, and deliver the critique in a fair, charitable, firm, and truthful way, to the best of your abilities.
If we can do that, then we win part of the battle. We make sure those in our assemblies are fed accurate information. We ensure that they will not be taken by surprise when they venture off into the world. We show ourselves to be respectable people, thus showing Christianity to be a worldview that is to be reckoned with. We show the world that Jesus is indeed the way, the truth, and the life.
