Admittedly, I did not use the most accurate imagery in this comic. You see, there isn’t exactly a “walk” to salvation, if you have placed your faith in the grace of God and the blood of Christ, you have already obtained salvation. In this comic, it seems like you need to continue walking on a path and walk yourself to salvation. It’s not like that, your works are not what saves you. The better imagery would have been a gate instead of that golden path. Forgive me for my mistake!
This whole thing was inspired by a reading of 1 Peter chapter 1. Our faith is super valuable. And if we wanted to be strong Christians who can withstand the trials of this life, the best thing we can be doing is strengthening our faith. Please don’t ever undervalue your faith in God! Cherish it, strengthen it, and protect it!
Been thinking about obedience lately, and truly, I don’t really understand how sometimes I can be so stupid to forsake the reading of scripture and prayer for other commitments. Your relationship with God is the most important thing in the world. And the strength of your faith is directly affected by how much time you spent with the Lord. And that affects every aspect of your life! This is why the psalmist says “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law, he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalms 1:2-3
That’s about it, like I said, we are going back to the basics for these recent weeks, and this one is quite foundational, and I’m sure we all understand it quite well, so hopefully, this has been a good reminder to y’all.
