Note: This is an old comic. But I don't have anything extra to say about it.
Original Commentary (from October 4th, 2020):
How does a radical persecutor of Christians throw away his hatred for Christ and become one of the most influential apostles? According to the man himself, Paul found the truth only because of God's mercies. Paul had no reason to become a Christian, he was well off, respected, smart, there was no gain for him if he became Christian. But he did because the truth was revealed to him to the Lord Jesus himself. On that road to Damascus Paul lost not only his eyesight but every value that he held on to for so long.
"to live is Christ, to do is gain". After seeing the truth and the glory that is Christ, Paul knew that he had to dedicate his entire life to Jesus. He knew that whether he died or continued on living, Christ will always take preeminence.
Christ forgave Paul for all the terrible things he had done, in ignorance, to be fair. Christ took the most unlikely man, one who hated Christians with all his heart and gave him a new heart that loved Christ more than life itself. Paul suffered for Christ, labored for Christ, and in the end, died for Christ.
God can do the same for you. It doesn't matter what your past is, God can use you for his work. Do you want your heart to be changed today? Do you desire to serve God with all your whole being? Do you want what God gave to Paul?
