COMIC: Make Most out of Good Times

This comic is on the more practical side, which leads me to give the following disclaimer: This won't apply to everyone, some of you won't have the luxury of applying this at all, so please take this with wisdom and discernment.

I wrote about this topic because for many of us, summer vacation is coming. We are all looking forward to a break, some relief from stress, and some fun and relaxing times in the sun. However, I want you all to use that time very wisely.

When you boil it all down, my main message is that no one should ever waste their time. We are to redeem the time, good or bad. In bad times, you are kept on your toes, or, better yet, on your knees. Bad times build character and endurance, but it's also painful. Good times are a chance to be refreshed and rebuild your strength, but it's also a tempting time to forget about God and embrace your desires because you no longer have an immediate need for Him (I mean, you always do, but it doesn't FEEL that way).

Times of trial and suffering certainly put our character to the test. How I behave during the good times will show me just how much growth I have experienced from the bad. I have failed this so many times. I would make plenty of mistakes when it seems like everything is going great and when my guard is down, only to taste the effects of my sins in due time. The cycle would repeat, and I would learn very little. A wise person falls 7 times and gets back up stronger, so I hope we will do just that, and strengthen ourselves even when we are standing tall!

Dear friends, don't throw your summer away! Continue reading your Bible, praying constantly, serving others, obeying God, and of course, enjoy your time!

To those who do not get the luxury that I spoke about in this comic, I am sorry, I hope you will get that break soon, but in the meantime, draw near to God, because there is no better thing you can do. Your brother Danny is here for you, never hesitate to reach out.
