COMIC: Laziness

Note: This is an old comic. I feel a little sick to my stomach because I'm such a huge hypocrite when it comes to this. So please imagine Paul Washer as the narrator when reading this comic.

Original Commentary (from March 14, 2021):

"Important disclaimer: if your inability to be productive stems from depression, anxiety, poverty, or anything out of your control, this comic is not directed towards you. If you are suffering from that, please dm me so I can pray for you, I have been there myself, I know how difficult it is.

I am convicted by this comic just as much as the next believer, I’m not saying I do this better than anyone.

So, to those of you who are convicted, may be offended, or are in agreement. I know this is a harsh comic, I know it doesn’t feel good when someone talks to you like this. I am only writing this comic because I love and care about you, but more importantly, I care about God’s work. The biggest problem in the current Christian culture is lukewarmness, which the Bible has specifically warned us about. Christians think it’s ok to not have God as their life’s focus, Christians who go about their daily lives, completely wasting the precious time God has given them. That breaks my heart, it breaks God’s heart, and it’s doing more damage to the church and the believers than you can ever imagine.

From my experience, people don’t respond well to this message at all, everyone has their own reasons why they’re not serving God as they should. If that’s you, read this:

“Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.” And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.” But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.””

‭‭Luke 9: 59-62

Here’s another verse for your consideration

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭

The reward for serving Him is so great, and honestly, the only thing that leads to a fulfilled life is serving Him. This is why I am risking offense by showing this comic to you, it’s because I love you and want you to have the best."
